Campus Master Plan Summary
In December 2011, the University completed the final submitted draft of its 2012 Campus Master Plan.
The Campus Master Plan is a District of Columbia-mandated document formally revised every 10 years. Its previous iteration was approved by the D.C. Zoning Board in 2003.
This plan contemplates how the physical infrastructure will support the future vision of the University. It has two components: academic and physical plant. The academic component connects programming plans with their associated effect on facilities.
The ultimate implementation of the plan is based on the goals, objectives, initiatives, and priorities set forth in the University Strategic Plan. Before initiating any new building or renovation projects, the Office of Facilities Planning and Construction evaluates the proposed project with respect to its compliance with the Campus Master Plan.
